ONSLOW'S AMALGAMATION
TO BE EFFECTED ON APRIL 1,
Last evening the Wellington. City, Council passed the following resolution:— "That the council agree to the proposed amalgamation of the Borough of Onsloiv witJi the city, the only condition being'that when, the time comes for the installation of water and drainago in the borough the necessary poll for the loan ho confined to the people concerned, and that a special ratuig area be constituted so that enly those who receive benefits shall pay. Tho permanent officials of _ the borough would, upon amalgamation, he given suitable positions witjh tho City Council. ' The committee have to recommend that amalgamation on the above, basie be givfrn effect to en April 1, 1919."
