TERMS TO BE ANNOUNCED.

The terms of the nest New Zealand War Loan are to bo announced shortly. It is understood that the Minister of Finance is disinclined to make' , any change from the terms of the laet loan. The interest offered then, 4i per cent, free of income tax,'is low in comparison with the return offered by the war bonds of some other countries, and there is a demand in some quarters that the rate of interest should: be increased here. The Minister hag mentioned himself that Cafiada is paying 5h per cent, free of income tas. But the" conditions have not changed here materially since the last loan was raised, and the Minister of Finance-, who lias always opposed anything that would tend to make money dearer in Now Zealand, has a lever of proved efficiency, in the compulsory clauses of the Finance Act.
