APPOINTMENTS AND CHANGES,

The following appointments i ar.d changes in the duties and stations of the Wellington District Staff are published in District Orders;—

Major S. G. Sandle, R.N.Z.A., officer commanding regiment, Now Zealand Artillery and Staff Officer to the Coast Defence Commander, having been transferred to the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, is struck off the district strength as from June 13, 1918. Major F. G. Hume, Roynl N.Z. &r----tillery, having been discharged from the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, is appointed Officer Commanding Royal N.Z. Artillery and Staff Officer to the Coast Defence Commander, vico Major S. G. Sandle. June 13. 1918. Captain W. B. P. Thnng, Royal N.Z. Artillery, Adiutant Wellington Garrison Artiller'v Division; having bsen transferred to the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, is struck off, the district strength as from September 4, 1918. . Captain P. St. J. Kecnan, N.Z. Engineers, having been discharged from the New Zealand Expeditionary Force', is appointed Adjutant Wellington Garrison Artillery Division, vice Captain W. B. P. Thr'ing. Royal N.Z. Artillery. September 4,1918. Major W. G. Ashworth, 6th (Manawatu) Mounted Rifles Regiment, _ is posted for duty at Group 6, "vice Lieutenant J. R. T. Slipper-on sick leave. August 26. 1918. v Staff Sergeant-Major A. E. Sharps, N.Z.P.S., regimental quarternustersergeant 6th (Manawatu) Mounted Rifles Regiment, Palmerston North, having been transferred to the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, relinquishes his appointment as from September 9, 1918. Staff Sergeant-Maior F. J. Frazer, N.Z.P.S., attached for duty at District i Headquarters as instructor _to N.Z. Army Service Corps, is appointed regtmental quartermaster-sergeant, 6th (Manawatu) Mounted Rifles Regiment, Palmerston North, vice Staff SergeantMajor A. E. Sharpe, N.ZJP.S. September 9, 1918. , x v -/ Corporal A. H. Gray, late New Zealand Expeditionary Force, is appointed staff sergeant on the N.Z. Staff temp.) as from June 17, 1918, and takes .rp 'duty as sub-area sergeant-major, Group 6, Palmerston North, vice oer-geant-Instructor N. C. Shepherd, as from August 19, 1918. . Company Sergeant-Major H. Collier, late New Zealand Expeditionary Force, is appointed staff-sergeant on the Staff (temp.), as from August 12,1918, and is posted as sub-area sergeant* major, Group 8. Hawera, vice SergeantInstructor W. Hill, N.Z. Staff (temp.). Corporal J. H.
