HIGH PRAJSK FOR NEGRO TROOPS. Now York, September 30. Tlie New York "World's" correspondent with the American Army says: —"All Franco sings the praise of a certain contingent or negro troops from New York, who, upon arrival in F.vnce, were green and unfit recruits. They havo now demonstrated themselves to be almost . super-soldiers, ilanv of their number havo received the Croix do Guerre. I asked a whitn colonel what ho thought of them, and he said 1 : 'They are just .as pood soldiers' material as the United States can produce. They have faced every hellish Hun contrivance, done everything demanded of them, and. they have come through with colours flying and their spirits high. I have'not seen many better soldiers in this war than these negroes. The French oliiccrs are delighted -with them.' "
