A French official Eastern communique states:—"The British west of tho Vardar attacked a series of enemy works in the direction of Altchakinalle, taking a number of prisoners and maintaining the conquered ground in spite of Bulgarian counter-attacks, which were repulsed with Jieavy enemy losses."—Aus.-N.Z.
