Tho directors' report for the twentythird year of tno Fcathcrston Dairy Company states that the factory' was open continuously throughout the year, but cheese-making ceasect on Alay '20, a month earlier than last season. Since then tho whole of the milk has been sent either to Wellington or for Use at the Military Camp. .During the chceseniaking period suppliers received Is. (id. per lb. for butter-fat, and tho balance to the . credit of the profit and loss account will provide a further lid. per lb. During June and July tho payment for milk .was lid. per gallon of 1011b. The directors have written off buildings and plant as depreciation a sum.of .£'l2l 13s. 2d., which sum has been credited to tho building and improvement account, the balance of which is now .£1825 17s. lid. During the year an additional boiler of tho same size as the old one was installed, and the receiving stage altered so as to facilitate receiving and handling of the milk. Tho retiring directors, being eligible, oil'er themselves for reelection, with the exception of Mr. A. C. Murphy. Seven directors have to bo clccted at the annual meeting as well as an auditor.
