Messrs. Dalgcty and Company, Limited, I'ulmerstou North, report having held a heifer sale on Wednesday. Owing to recent rough weather a number of the cattle wore in low condition, and tho bulk of tho entry comprised late calvers. There was a very fair competition, and prices were in favour of buyers. Quotations:— Backward heifers, £6 7s. 6d.; £7, £7 12s. 6d„ £8, £8 ss„ to £8 10s.; springers, £9 fOs., £10, £10 55., to £12 10s. Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limited, Palmorston North, report having a medium yarding of sheep and cattle at their sale on Thursday. There was a keen demaud for sheep and a fair inquiry for cattle.
