WAR ANNIVERSARY
*- MEETING! AT TOWN HALL. Sunday will bo the fourth anniversary of the declaration of war between Great Britain and Germany) and the occasion will bo. marked by patriotic meetings to bo hold nil over New Zealand on Monday night. Tho Wellington meeting in the Town Hall promises to be a memorable gathering. Tho motion reaffirming New Zealand's "inflexible determination to continue to the victorious end of a righteous war" will bb moved by the Mayor (Mr. J. P. Luke, C.M.G., M.P.), and supported by. several prominent speakers, whoso names will be announced later. Tho, Trentham Band will be. in attendance, and the City Organist (Mr. Bernard Page) will, play suitable selections on the grand organ. Mr. Temple Whito has agreed to arrange a programme of musical items, which in it- . self should, be a big attraction. A united service of intercession is to be hold at tho Town Hall on Sunday next. .
