5000 NAMES TO BE DRAWN. Tho Defence Minister stated yesterday that tho next ballot of moil of Class C of tho reserve will oontain the names of 5000 men, a reduction of fifty per cent, on tho number of recent ballots. JTo > said that it was considered that tho big ballots drawn in recent months had mado uj) tho deficiency that would liavo been created by tho extra commitments entered into in response to the call made for moro men when tho Germans opened their big offensive some months ago.
