Mr. Thomas Mutton, a retired builder, died at his residence, Lyltelton, last week, at the age of 91 years, after an attack of bronchitis. The deceased was ono of the early settlers in Canterbury, arriving at Lyttelton from Cornwall in 1851 by the sailing vessel Isabella He-r----cus. He .was a member of the council when Lyttelton was first constituted a borough.
