There was a perceptible improvement in the weather prospects yesterdav, although the, air was very raw, and heavy rain fell nt intervals. Present indications are for moderate to strong southerly winds, and fair to cloudy weather generally, !>ut unsettled at times 011 the Iwst Coast of tho North Island, and in the south.
