PLAY IN THE MUD PETONE BEAT WELLINGTON COLLEGE Athletic Park was not in a fit state for liugby on Saturday, but (he union oflicials considered it wise to go on with the principal match. There was a good crowd present, but only a mud scramble was witnessed. However, there is much to be said in favour of the decision to "go on with the game." ORIENTAL AND WELLINGTON JUNIORS DRAW. The junior match Wellington v. Oriental was played at Athletic Park. Eacti side scored '(i points. For Oriental, L. Smith scored two tries, lor Wellington, lieymilds and Piitlcison stored tries.
