RAILWAY TROUBLES
* DEVIATION BEING CONSTRUCTED. The big landslide near Huntervillo caused a second accident on Thursday, a goods train having run into the heap with serious results, the engine and several trucks being piled up in a state of hopelees confusion. No ' cne was seriousiy injured, though some narrow escapes occurred. The big slip near liunlerville (on the Marton« side) is of such dimensions that it lias been found necessary to construct a deviation round tho great heap of sloppy ground that lins piled u.o over the line. At the point where the land slid tho banke wera not liy any means of an angle.that would suggest the danger of si slip- It. is said to be it case cf a mass of waterlogged earth trying to find its own level. As the weather is still wet it is not improbable that similar mishaps may occur along tho line. Tho country has for tno pnst tlirco weeks had a very thorough suaking. _________
