ADDITIONS PROPOSED. Tlio Baths Committco reported to tho City Council last evening that they had been waited on by a deputation from tho Maranu'i Surf and Lifo-Snving Club on tho subject of tho erection of an addition to tho club's premises ou tho Lynll Bay beach. The club desired tho permission of the council to erect an addition, measuring approximately fifty-four feet by fourteen feet, 'the additional rooms thus obtained to be used for gymnasium pui-pSs.es entirely. I Tho committee recommended that consent bo granted, subject to tho conditions stipulated by the City Engincor (which included the provision of an agreement for the propor maintenance of tho existing nj\d proposed premises by the club, etc.), and also subject to tho payment of a nominal rental of 10s. ner annum. The committco also recommended that the club be required to givo a written assurance that tho premises will not be used for any other purpose, limn that stipulated. Tho council adopted the committee's recommendation. .
