A BOY WITH A REVOLVER
SEEKS TO EXORT MONEY FROM A LADY. ' : 9 By Telcgraph-Prcss Association. Auckland, June 25.
A boy under 15 years of age, employed in a largo city shop, appeared at the Police Court charged with attempting to obtain money by unlawful means. Ho had pestered one of his employers' customers; ft lady well known in society, by ringing her up on the telephone, when he proposed that sho should meet him by appointment. Acting on advice, the lady agreed, by choosing the Domain as the rendezvous. At (lie lime appointed accused found a detective waiting for him. Ho admitted he had had a revolver and that it was loaded. He had hoped to intimidate the lady into giving him money. Tho Magistrate said the boy had evidently been influenced by trashy literature, and committed Yiim to Weraroa Training College.
