HOSPITAL LEVIES
CONFERENCE ON TUESDAY NEXT. A special meeting of the Wellington Hospital and Charitable Aid Board was held yesterday afternoon for the purpose of appointing delegates to represent the board at the round-the-table conference (to discuss tho subject of hospital levies and causes of tho big increase in them this year) which has been convened by the Minister of Public Health (the Hon. G. •W, Russell). Those appointed were Messrs. H. Baldwin (chairman of tho board), John Smith (chairman of the Hospital Committee), IMr. D. Campbell (chairman of tho Charitable Aid Committee), and P. Castle (treasurer). Tho conference wili take place in tho board room at 10 a.m. on Tuesday next.
