PURCHASE OF WOOL
. AT LAST YEAR'S RATES UNTIL ONE YEAR AFTER THE WAR The Acting-Prime Minister is in receipt of information from the Secretary of Stato for the Colonies, through His Excellency the Governor-General, to the effect that the Imperial Government has notified the terms under which the" purchase of wool from the Dominion will be continued. It is notified that Hie purchase will ho continued during the currency of the war, and thereafter for «ne full year, commencing from June 30 following the termination of hostilities. The price is the same as has been paid during the past two seasons, and the Imperial Government undertakes to shave equally any profits arising from sales for other than British Government purposes. Payment is made by the Imperial Government on the fourteenth day after valuation, and shipping expenses are borne by the Imperial Government until shipping facilities are provided. The Acting-Prime Minister notifies that he is in communication with the Bight Hon. Mr. Massey over soma of the details, but these 'do not materially affect the scheme of purchase.
