A heavy thunderstorm passed over the Wairarapa on Tuesday night. The lightning was particularly vivid. The revenue of the gas department of tho Masterton Borough Council for the month of May was JU726 Us. 4d., compared with £1410 17s. lOd. for the corresponding month last year. The death occurred at Carterton rn Monday of Mr. John F. Gerosky, at the age of 71) years. Deceased hail resided in Carterton for the past 43 years.
