DRASTIC MEASURES FOR SEDITIONMONGERS.
SEQUEL TO RIOT IN SYDNEY DOMAIN. (Rec. June 19, 1.25 a.m.) Sydney, June 18. As the result of recent disturbances in the Domain, arising out of returned soldiers objecting to the utterances of certain speakers, Mr. Kolman (the Stata Premier) lias announced in tlie Assembly that the Government intended to introduce at an early date legislation providing _ that auy person found guilty of seditious titteramccs' shall be disfranchised for a period of not less than four or more than ten years, and shall be incapablo of holding auy public office. Such person also shall be prohibited for not longer than sis months from speaking in cortain prohibited areas. A warm discussion followed the announcement, the Opposition severely criticising the proposal—Press. Assn.
