STATEMENT BY MR, MASSEY. (Rec. June 18, 7.55 p.m.) London, Juno 17. . Mr. Massoy states that tlio details of the New Zealand wool contract havo been satisfactorily settled. The Imperial Government will accept the shipping responsibility. The other contracts are more difficult. There is no question of squeezing the producers, but the Government cannot shift the existing purchases. The general outlook.for Australasian producers will bo serious unless the war terminates soon. It is lioped that the decrease in submarine sinkings and tho higher output of tonnage will solve tho difficulties.—United Service.
