.£1,800,000,000 WANTED FOR THE YEAR. Washington, Juno 8. The Secretary of the Trennry (Mr. W. G. M'Adoo) estimates Hhe expenditure for the year ending June at 24,000 million dollars (£1,800,000,0(10), of which amount a third will be raised by direct .taxation and the balance by loans.
