It w.is short about one-third of itn quoin, ;>. fnct attributed cliiclly to Ihn 'disturbance at tho Christcliurch barracks on Monday. Tho recruiting authorities bolinvo that tlio missing men will reach camp this week. The Ota go men are to reach camp to-day, tho Wellington men. to-morrow, and the Auckland uie.n on Friday. Tho Wellington city draft, about l>oo strong, will parade at Hie Buckle Street barracks this afternoon. Tho Forty-first draft contains the nrsl; of tho balloted Second Division men. They aro Class A reservists (married , men without children), and wore drawn, in tho 12th and '3th ballots. The number of Class A men included m tine month's draft is about 101)0. Another big body of men from* this class will enter camp with the Forty-second lleintorccmenu next month. Tho medical examination of tho Cms* 1!. men drawn in the last ballot will bi> begun next week. These men arc to lie allowed twelve weeks' leave after medical. . ■ examination, but they will be asked t» enter camp earlier if they aro ablo to do. so, in order to strengthen the drafts mobilising in May and June. The first compulsory dato of mobilisation for Oafs B men will be in July or August. The announcement that volunteersfrom Classes C and D of the Second Division would bo accepted for the .fortysecond draft, mobilising next mouth, lias resulted in tho strength of the draft }>>■- ing increased by some 250 men. Tho vetruitiiig authorities would liko to s«t another 500 volunteers for , the drah. which is probably the last that can take part in the fighting of the present year.
