SENTENCES ON SOLDIERS
DISOBEYING LAWFUL COMMANDS
In Featherston Camp Orders ifc 'is announced that the following soldiers, having been convicted by District Court Martial on charges of disobeying the lawful commands given by, their superior officers, havo each been sentenced to imprisonment with hard labour for one vear and eleven months: ' N0.'73,136 Private B. E. Salter, of D Companv, 39th Reinforcements. No. 73,098 Private F. J. Halse, o£ D Company, 39th Reinforcements. • Tho'finding and sentence in each casa has been confirmed, and the recommendation of the Court is to bo given effect to so that if tlio accused at any tinxo during his imprisonment shall make an application for a' pardon, on oondition that ho will servo in tho forces, then the application- will bo given. effcct to. '•
