"War Loan Subscriber."—The rule laid down by the Treasury ia that subscribers to the War Loan need not pay exchange on their cheques. The proper courso for a country subscriber is to pay his cheque into the Public Account at the local branch of his bank, that is, the branch where ho normally does business. If ho wishes, he may scud his chequo direct to tho Treasury in Wellington. Exchange need not be added in either case. No instructions havo been given to country post offices to charge exchange on cheques made out for AVar Loan purposes.
