OVERTIME PAYMENTS
, — *-H RATES IN THE PUBLIC SERVICE. Amended regulations governing the payment of overtime in the Post and. Telegraph Department and in the professional and clerical divisions of tho Public Service are published in this week's Gazette. In the Post and Telegraph Department payment for overtime, when provided for, ie to be made at the following rates:— Per hour. 6. d. To officers drawing salares exceeding £230 2 6 To officers drawing salaries ex- ■ ceeding £200 and not exceeding £230 2 0 To officers drawing salaries exceeding £165 and not exceeding £200 1 9 To officers drawing salaries exceeding £100 and not ex- ' oeeding £165 1 6 To offioers drawing salaries up ' to and including £100 1 0 To telegraph message boys 0 6 The following are to be the iates of payment for overtime, when such payment is sanctioned, to officers of the professional and clerical diviBions:— Per hour, s. d. Officers receiving a salary of £100 per annum and nnder 1 0 Officers receiving over £100 and not exceeding £165 sper annum i—"" \ Officers, receiving over £165 and .not exceeding £200 per annum , 1 ° Officers receiving over i>2oo and ■ not exceeding £230 per annum • * 0 Officers receiving over £230 and not exceeding £300 per annum • .-.....•••• " 8 Overtime shall bo calculated to tho nearest quarter of an hour. Officers of the General Division whose cases are not met by special regulation in that behalf may bo paid for overtime at such rate sas may_ be fixed by the Commissioner from time to time.
