SUBURBAN TRAIN SERVICES
RAILWAY AND MOTOR BUSES.
A restricted suburban railway service was instituted last evening over both the Government 'ines, and will bo continued until further notice": Traiuß left Lambton Station for Lower Hutt at 9.15 p.m. and 10.20 p.m., and left the Hutt for Lambton at 9.45 p.m. and 10.55 p.m. On the Manawatu lino a train left Thorndon Station for Johnsonvillo at 10.20 p.m., and one left Johnsonville for Thorndon at 7 p.m. An inquiry was made yesterday as to how the motor bus services now tunning to and from the city to Petono and the Hutt (and on which the j.ublio has learned more or less to depend) will be affected by the resumption of the evening train service.' The reply was that the present motor bus time-taoie would be adhered to until it was ascertained "how things were going." Ims will mean that the public wil, /or a time at all evonts, have the choice of two services botween Wellington and Lower Hutt.
