CONSCIENTIOUS OBJECTORS
INQUIRY INTO TREATMENT DESIRED.

At a meeting of the Christohurch Ministers' Association to-day a long •discussion took place on the present position of conscientious objectors in the. Dominion. The meeting was unanimous in its support of the sacred right of consciences, but was anxious not to shield the shirker, luna Rev. J. J- North moved: "That in view of the charges of gross ill-treat-ment recently, publicly made, the Christchurch Ministers' Association urge that the Government appoint r> commission of inquiry into the treat menfc of conscientious objectors by tr military authorities." The motion w carried unanimously.
