OLDRING COMMITTED FOR TRIAL. (Ilec. December 16, 5.5 p.m.) Melbourne, December 16. Arthur Oldring has been committed for trial on the charge of murdering Mrs. Taylor and her daughter, lho police produced a statement in which accused admitted that under the name of Blundorfield he had served two long sentences in West Australia, where ho had broken out of gaol. Ho and Mrs. Taylor passed as man and wife. Ho drove her and her daughter to Trawool on the night of the tragedy, but remembered nothing that happened afterwards. He suffered pains in tho head and loss of memory as tho result of a previous accident.Press Assn. [A previous message said: A mysterious tragedy is reported from Trawool. On November 10 a cabman drovo'Mrs. Taylor and her twclvc-yoar-old stepdaughter to Trawool, where she stated eho was going to nurse a sister. Subsequently their bodies, with tho heada smashed, wero found in tho Goulburn River. Tho sum ot £162 sown in tho woman s undorclothing and a photograph of a eoldier, Arthur Oldring, were discovered amongst tho woman's belongings The photograph was recognised .as that of a man who is rented missing.from the Seymour Camp. Ho was wm in the vicinity of the ragedy.. Oldnng has been arrested. Mrs. Jessie Brown sister of Oldriug, has poisoned horscLf and died in hospital.]
