"THE CLOCK OF DEATH"
The famous astronomical clock at Hampton Court Palace, which was made hy a German, in 1540, for Honry VII, has stopped, and is in the workmen's hands. It is many years sincolast the clock stopped. A curious legend connected with rt has given it the name of "the clock of Mutated that when Anne of Denmark, tho Queen of James I, died at Ham ton Court, the clock, which was strWrife the hour at the moment, immedatek stopped, and it is alleged to Save done so for many years whenever nvone long resident in the Palace died vithin its precincts. There are many people who will quote examples of the fulfilment of the superstition in recent times.
