CRISIS NOW OVER SIGNOR ORLANDO'S APPRECIATION Paris, December 4. Signor Orlando, Italian Premier, in an intorview, states that the Allies have concluded their conference. They are now more compact, bettor armed, and stronger from a military point of view. Italy had responded superbly after her reverse. The courage of the Army was unimpaired, and it nad held back the advancing flood. Nevertheless tho arrival of tho British and French troops had produced an excellent impression.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. ANOTHER ATTACK EXPECTED New York, Decomber 4. The New York "Times" correspondent at Rome says the lull in tho fighting means that tho Austrians and Germans are drawing large forcos from tho Russian front, preparatory to making a- much greater attack, which the Italians and the French and British are confidently awaiting.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. ITALIAN OFFICIAL REPORT. (Rec. December 5, 5.5 p.m.) London, December 4. . An Italian official report states: "Wo repulsed attacks southward of tho Daono Valley, in tho Giudicaria region. The enemy's artillery is active between Montes Sisemol and Castel Goberto. We carried out a powerful concentration of fire on the enemy's masses in Gallio Wood and northward of Monte Tondareca."—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.-Router. BRITISH AIRMENTAKE A HAND (Rec. December 5, 9 p.m.) London, December 4. A correspondent at British Headquarters in Italy states that the first shots between the British and tlie Germans on the Italian front were fired in an aerial battle. Four British aeroplanes flew over the enemy's lines near the Alpine foothills, and fire German machines attacked. One was brought down. Later, the British engaged twelve of tho enemy's planes, seriously damaging two. Tho rest were driven back'.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
