ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
DEATH OF A WELL-KNOWN ORCHARDIST. By Telegraph-Press Association. Timaru, November 17. Mr. Alfred Beswick, a prosperous orchardist and florist, of Waimate, and formerly for many, years borough overseer of works at Timaru, came to limaru on November 2. Ho left Ins hotel early next morning, and disappeared yesterday. A pocket-book belonging to him had been found on the shingle beach about a mile north of Timaru, and, tho search .being continued, his body-was found to-day among tho rocks a little further north. Mr. Beswick was an esteemed citizen and a member of the Waimate Borough Council. His affairs were all m order, but ho had beon mentally distressed by domestic troubles.
