MR. CYRIL MAUDE IN GRUMPY
4 A J. 0. Williamson attraction of more than the ordinary interest will be the first appearance here of Air. Oyril Jlaude. Llr. Maude is noted as the creator of majiy favourite Toles already familiar to Dominion playgoers, by the work of lesser stars. Hib biggest succcsb is undoubtedly "Grumpy," which he will present here ou Tuesday next for the ilrst time. He has already played the part over 1000 times in England and Amcrica, and more recently in Australia. Critics credit the ptay witli being of fascinating and absorbing interest, besides being humorouß in the extreme. "Grumpy" is in four acts, and is by Horace Hodges and T. Wigney Percival. tho authors of "Sunday." Mr. Maude will bo supported by strong company, the. most of whom he has brought with him from England. For twenty-one years Mr. Maudo lias had liiß own theatre in London, and ha.s been commanded to appear before ltoyalty more often than any other British actor. Included in tho company that' will support the famous actor aro Mesßrs. Herbert Hanson, Robert Ayrton, Stephen Scanlan, Edward Lester, Frank Elliott, E. Oatenby ilell. Harry Sweeny, Raymond Lawrence, H. H. Wallace, Hisses Dorothy Cuniming, Betty Murray, Mardi Dillon, Stella l'aytcr. The aeaaon is announced for nine nights. The box plans will ho opened for "Grumpy" to-morrow morning at the Bristol at 5 a.m. "Grumpy" will be playeil for the first five nights only.
