Jones (Christchurch). and M'Lennan were elected president and secretary respectively. Tho conference resolvod that in order to be a delegate it was necessary to. be a bona-fide bricklayer with five years' actual experience as a worker. A committee was set up to inquire into what should be the representation- of tha branch unions.
