"TURN TO THE RIGHT." The filial performance in Wellington of "Turn to the Right," by ,1. and N. Tail's comedy company, will bo given to-night at the Grand Opera House. The play is naturally American, and is a brisk and breezy sidelight on the life of three crooks whose moral reformation is achieved by a dear old lady. The cast includes Gaston Mervaie, Maurico Dudley, George Chalmers, Miss liizettc Parkes, and Miss CSwen Dorise, Mr. W. Richardson, Mr. Stapleton Kent and AiiS3 Margaret Calvert, HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE. Ruth Budd continues to delight patrons at His Majesty's Theatre with giddy aerobatics on tho rings and tho ropes. Her slender form is nightly to be seen suspended in all manner of graceful poses, and her merry volco is to be heard in the neighbourhood of tho rafters. The Creole Fashion Plate, with liis amusing turn, is upon the programme, and the revuo is still "A Night in Bohemia." A inalineo lwrlorniauce will bo given this ufternoou. KING'S THEATRE. Anita Stewart, in her supremo screen role, is tho star of "The Moro Excellent Way," a powerful Vitagraph drama, to bo spreoned at tho King's to-day at 2.30 p.m. The story concerns a wealthy orphan girl who marries on a business basis a man somewhat older than herself. This arrangement, as is inevitable, develops complications, which create an absorbing plot. Anita Stewart's acting proves her to have a quite unsuspected capacity for emotional roles. Tho sotting is the last word in luxury, and tho much vaunted new photographic discoveries made by tho Vitagraph studio experts are seen for tho first time. The King's will be seen as a continuous house from November 24, opening with "Tho Mormon Maid."
EVERYBODY'S THEATRE. Smiling Douglas Fairbanks'will be secu in tho latest Triangle release "The Habit, of Happiness," tho star feature to bo ecrceueu at Everybody's to-day. His is tho role of Sammy Wiggins, a young man who is considered worthless by the other members of his family. His suiilo is such that it radiates happiness wherever ho goes, and a medical specialist secures him to cum a grouchy millionaire of dyspepsia. In tho palatial homo of the gilded dyspeptic ho meets tho millionaire's daughter. Meanwhile, a broker whoso ofler of marriage has been refused by the daughter, is plotting to ruin her father in Wall Street. How Sammy thwarts tho attempt, cures tho grouch, becomes hiH son-in-law and partner, and thereby iB reinstated in tho good graces of bis own family, is tho Btory this comedy tells. Supporting items include the third episode of "The Secret Kingdom, "Tho Soalcd Packet," and Chapliu's latest. EMPRESS THEATRE. A melodrama of more than usual strength, with, as it central figure, a remarkable child actress, is "Tho Littlo Duchess," the World Film drama to bo screened at the Empress Theatre to-day. Geraldiuo is a.little orphan who had lived with her English mother in a New York tenement. With a littlo boy friend she runs away and joins a circus, and from this escapade aro based tho developmonls of tfio story. In addition, Chapter is of "Tho Iron Claw," "Tho Cave of' Despair," is also shown. •• ■ THE OHEERO'S. Tho Charley's Aunt costume comedy, Tho Cheero's, will make their first appearance in Wellington at. tho Grand Opera House on Wednesday evoning next, November 21, when they will eivc a performance in aid of tho Soldiers' Ohristmas Gift Funds. In the first part of tho programme tho Charley's Aunt Olub will produce three very snappy one-act plays—"The Avenger," "Tho Eloventh Hour," and "Kisses and Misses.' Tho second part will introduce "Tho Cheero's." a company of four ladies mid five gentlcmon, who pinko things very merry duriDg ,tho tlmo they occupy thn stage. Tho performers include Albert Russell, W. W. Crawford, Austin lllackic, Chas. Moore, Norman Aitken, Wiunlc Birch-John-ston, Eileen Millar, Eileen Driscoll, M. Tracy, under thn direction of Mihb Maud Blctsoe-Buokeridge. Tho box plan is now open at tho Bristol.
TO-NIGHT'S OIIGAN BEOITAL. The programme for tho recital lo bo given in the Town Hall to-uicht by tho city organist (Mr. Bernard Page) is a "special request" one, composed oF six of the most popular -works previously played by Mr. Page. These numbers are tho third movement from tho "Pathetic" Symphony' (Tchaikovsky}, a work of extraordinary beauty, Rebikff's "PsyoholoBieal Poem" (or "Genius and Death"), tho "Question" and tho "Answer" (Wolstcnholmc), Karg-Elort's "gpnr.'ina in A Minor," Cesar Franck's : , beautiful: and harmonious "Pastorale," and Debussy's "Fountain Music and Duet" from Act 11, flcenc I, "Pelleas and Melisande."- These works have proved vsry enjoyable-and entertaininir on varioiu occasions,- and will easily bear another repetition.
