NEW ZEALAND ARMY'S CHRISTMAS BOOK
A EULOGISTIC NOTICE. (Special from the N.Z. Government War Correspondent.) The Sivision has produced a most excallent Christmas book of prose ami verse and illustrations in colour, black and white, and line. A high standard of literary and artistic excellenco has been reached. Ton thousand copies wero sold before tho book appeared, and it is expected that tho miles will approximate 50,000. The publishers are Cassolls, who in a preliminary notice state that tho book is equal, it not superior, to any similar magazine compiled at the front. They mill: "That soldiers from the smallest of the Dominions should bo capable of producing such a book while actually engaged iu battle is a tribute uot nuly to themselves aud their country, but also to tha ancestry from which they have sprung. The book will forui a lusting memorial of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force iu the great war, and make a charming Christmas gift to relatives and friends." Fifty thousand artistic Christinas cards in colour are also being published by the division.
