SCENES OF TERROR AND BLOODSHED AUSTRIANS ATTACK GERMANS SERIOUS OUTBREAK THREATENED (Kec. October 17, 9.15 p.m.) Rome, October IG. The- "Giornale d'ltalia" states, ob reliable authority, that several extremely serious mutmi3s, accompanied by bcenes of terror and bloodshed, have occurred on several ships of the Austrian Navy owing to food troubles and the inhuman treatment by the officers. A sanguinary encounter at Pola between Austrian crews and the German U-boat flotilla, owing to the tyranny of the latter, was only 6ubdued by the intervention, of naval patrols. A number of German sailors were killed. Thereafter the "D-boats were ordered to onother base. Disaffection in the Austrian Navy is increasing in a threatening manner.— Renter.
