FLOODED AND STINK.
Sydney, August 29. After unavailing efforts to extinguish tlio fire on board the Burns, Philp Company's steamor Morindu, the vessel was flooded and sunk. Tlfe firo was noticed after leaving Brisbane, and it was thought it ha.i been extinguished, but within a. few miles of Sydney it broko out again.—Press Assn. [The Morinda is a vessel of 1017 tons, nml was built in 1913.]
