PROPOSED NORTHLAND EXTENSION Last evening the following- recommenda-' tion was made to the City Council:~ "That, on account of increased operat-' ins expenses, an increase of one-halfpenny pev car mile be made in. respect ofi Karori and Miraniar tramways, to iaVo effect from July 1 next."

The recommendation was adopted.
