SPORTS PRIZES PRESENTED. Tho aunual sports of the Government training ship Amoliura havo been carried out at Tauranga and Thorndon, and the final events were keenly contested yesterday. They havo consisted of swimming, boat-racing, and other events. In tho boat race, in -which the port and starboard watch competed, great excitement was aroused by the close running, but tho port won by 14 seconds. In tho swimming, the e-tarboard were tho victors. In tho boys' schoolroom yesterday, be'foro a large party, the prizes won in the various events were presented. IHo mayoress (Mrs. Luke) sent a letter expressing regret that-her many duties prevent-, ed her from presenting tho prizes, which she hoped to do on some future date, in her absence Mi'. J.
