SHOOTING .COMPETITIONS. The Wellington companies of the Post and Telegraph Engineers' Corps recently competed for -prizes given by the Departmental controlling officers. AH matches were carried out under strict service conditions, namely, rifles as issued, slings barred, service targets, nnd service marking. Following wore the results:— Company Championship.—Prize, Championship Belt (to be held by winner for ensuing 12 months) and trophy presented by staff officers. Ranges, 200, 300, 600. and 600 yards—Sapper A. V. Mattingly, No. 8 Co., 24, 22, 18, 20; total, 64. Corpl. W. Vatos No. 8 Co.. 23, 20, 21, 17; total, 81. topper D. Catley, No. 8 Co., 23, 23, 19, 14; total, 79. "Fire Fight Competition"; prize, Silver Cup, presented by Lieutenant-Colonel Waters; names of winning team to be engraved on cup,.and held by O.C. Co., for 12 months.—Winning team, No. 107 th Co., Post and Telegraph Cadets: Lieut. G. B. Williamson, Sergts. N. H. Thom, 0. G. Marplc, and J. E. Fraser, Cadet G. A. Walsh. A Grade Competition; prizes donated by the staff. Accountant's Branch, G.P.0., and Mr. A. llarkmann. Ranges, 200, 300, and 600 yards.—Sapper L. M'Kcefry, No. 8 Co., 22, 22, 24; total. 68; Scrgt. D. Whitmore, No. 8 Co., 23, 25, 20; total, 67. B Grade; prizes donated by Colonel W. D. Morris and Mr. B. A. Shrimpton. Ranges 200, 300, and 500 yards—Sapjer W. Weston, No. 8 Co., 22, 25, 18; total, 65. Corpl. W. Yates, No. B Co., 23. 20, 21; total, 64. O Grade Competition; prizes donated by Messrs. A. P. Dryden. and J. Powell. Ranges, 200, 300, and 500 yards—Sapper L. H. Baliiell, No. 7 Co., 25, 20, 9; total, 54. Sapper W. A. Lceming, No. 7 Co., 16, 19, 15; total, 50. Highest score made, at 600 yards—Lieut. It. S. James, 20. Highest, score made at 500 yards.-Sanper L. M'Kcefry, 24. These win a prize of 10s. 6d. each, given by Lieu-tenant-Colonel Waters.
