ITS DISPOSAL ON LONDON MARKET., By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, May 25. ' The North Canterbury Farmers' Union Conference carried a resolution asking tho Government to confer with Sir. Massey on the subject of frozen meat in relation to. its disposal in London, and ' for a period after the war, during which ~the contract would continue. It was resolved to urge the adoption of the metric . B.vstem of weights, measures, and decimal coinage, and to suggest that the matter be brought before the Government with a. view to having tho system introduced 'at tho end of tho war. It was also decided that it was advisable that ballots and medical examination of men of the Second Division should be taken at the earliest possible date, so that those interested may have knowledge of what to do regarding their businesses.
