The'larmors' Union Conference agreed that the -North Island and South Island J'lock Book Councils bo requested to confer ivith each other to see if it he -possible to recognise the full registration of sheep 'entered in the books of eithor council. THE AUCKLAND CONFERENCE. Auckland, May 25. The conference of tho Farmers' Union to-day resolved to urge the Government to grant free railage of lime for a hundred miles from any point to which it might bo brought by water or other carriage from places not served by- railways; that • Jjook-keeping be taught in the Sixth Standard of primary schools; that conistruction of the East Coast railways be pushe<l on without delay."
