GERMAN TREACHERY
BRITISH SUBJECT MURDERED IN SPANISH MOROCCO. . .■ In consequence of the persistent German intrigue in the Spanish zone or Morocco, and the murder on. December 30 at the German Consulate at Tetuan of a British protected Moor, a. servant of the' British Vice-Consul at that place, the Spanish authorities' in Morocco, Renter's Agenoy understands, •would not be sorry to make this latestoutrage the occasion for the removal from the country of all the German, agents now there. It is probable that the British Ambassador to Spain will be instructed to point out to the Spanish Government the danger to the tranquillity of the Spanish zone of a continuance of the activities of the German Consul at Tetuan and his follow intriguers. " ' t • ..■ .. The murder was- a particularly coldblooded and treacherous act. The viotim was invited to luncheon to the German Consulate by a relation of his in.the service of. Herr Zechlin, tho German, Consul. A few minutes after his arrival he was murdered, his body being subsequently found in the courtyard riddled with revolvor shots, all fired point-blank.
