FAMILY OF HEROES
THREE BROTHERS WIN V.C., . 1X5.0., AND M.C. A splendid record of distinctions is held by the three Nasmith brothers, of Weybridge, Surrey.' Commander (now Captain) Martin Nasmith won the Viotoria Cross for the brilliant exploits of Submarine Ell" in the Sea of Marmora, whore nine Turkish ships of war and a. transport .were sunk. Earlier in the war, during the Cuxhaven raid, Commander Nasmith rescued five' men from three wrecked British' aeroplanes, ■ while a German airship was dropping bombs overhead. Before the war he had taken the King on a .submarine voyage. Captain 'Arthur Plate Nasmith, of the Border Regiment, won thoD.S.O. for "great courage and initiative in organising and leading a successful attack and setting a splendid '. examplo throughout." Jflajor Reginald Nasmith, of'the High- j land Light Infantry, has been awarded the Military Cross. A fourth brother, Lieutenant Sydney Nasmith, is at present in India.
