RESULTS BELITTLED IN GERMANY (Rec. February 25, 5.5 p.m.) London. February 23. Mr. Bonar Law. the Chancellor o£ the Exchequer, wiJl make a full statement regarding the War Loan on Monday. It is believed tho total is nearly 800 millions. _ . German newspapers continue their efforts to belittle'the result. Even those admitting that it represents new money assert that only a portion will be available. The "Cologne Ganettn" savst 'I'von if the net amount is six hundred millions, it is .a pitiful result." It is significant that the noi'spapers couple their allusions to tho loan with boastful anticipations of a submarine triumph.—Aus.-N.Z. Cablo Assn.
