(Acting Premier): — "I am directed by my executive, now sitting, to draw your attention w the statement of Mr. "Ward under the heading of ■ 'No Milt.' for .Wellington,' and given before tlie Public Inquiry: Board —who are inquiring into tho City. milk supply—aud reported in this morning's Dominion, and 'to-urge that tho Government will, in view of this statement and the fact that tho Mili-, tary Service Boards' arc compeTnng:men,. , in tho public interest, to remain in their proseiit occupations, at onco bring down regulations under the Wan Regulations Act compelling farmers to render national aud public service under tho direction of tho Minister of Agriculture, and thus prevent unnecessary hardship being imposed on the people at a time when all may reasonI'ably be expected to inako some sacrifice."
