A FINAL WARNING
1 : TO BALLOTED MEN WHO HAVE NOT RESPONDED. By Telegraph—Press. Association. Dunedin, February 7. Respecting men called up in the ballot who have not turned up for medical examination or have not gone into camp, Mr. Allen to-day uttered a final warning. They Tiad better come forward voluntarily, and ask to bo medically examined and sent into camp, as the law would be carried out. The Government had not taken action' so far because it was not ready to act, and had not the necessary information to enable it to eet. TJiat information was now available, and action would bo taken in a very short time. Offenders might bo treated as "absent without leave" or as "deserters." In the latter case the penalty was heavy.
