At Palmerston North on Thursday we had. a good yarding of sheep and a small yarding of cattle. Late rates" were maintained throughout, whitefaced lambs showing a slight improvement. Fat wethers 365., 365. 4d.; fat ewes, 28s. 6d. to 335. 6d.; heavy fat lambs, 255. 5d.; breeding ewes, 295.; whitefaced lambs, 175., 17s. Id.; fair b.f. lambs 14s. Dalgety and Company, Limited, Palmerston North, report having a good yarding of stock at their Feilding salo on Friday. Practically all lines of eheep were sold, but several pens of cattle faileu to reach vendors' reserves. Quotations:— Sheep: Cull lambs, 9a. 7d. to lis. 7d. ? *mall lambs, x to 135.; mixed lambs, fair condition, 16s, 16s. Dalgety and Company, Limited, report having held thefr monthly gale at Waikanae, on Thursday last, when they offered a fair yarding of sheep to a good attendance. Competition was much brisker than has been the case at recent fc'ales in the district, and all lines offered were sold under the hammer, with th« exception of one pen of young owes, which wa-3 passed in ai, 375. 4d. Dalgety and Company, Limited, report:—"We held our weekly stock salo at ' Dannevirko yards on Friday, when wo offered a fair yarding of sheep and cattle to a good attendance of farmera . and buyers.
