POWDER MAGAZINES
DUPONT FACTORY EXPLOSION (Roc. January 14, 5.5 p.m.) New York, January 13. The Dupont powder magazines at Haskell, New Jersey, containing two hundred tons of machine-gun powder intended for the Allies, were blown up. There was a small preliminary warning for the 1400 employees, and then there were three heavy explosions. Two employees are reported missing and 12 others are slightly injured by flying debris. Incendiarism, probably of Teuton origin, is suspected.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable 'Assn.
