FIRE IN A FOUNDRY
THOUSANDS OF SHELLS LOST. New York, January 12. The plant of a Canadian car foundry, where hundreds of thousands of shells destined for Russia were stored, was destroyed by fire. _ There was a series of explosions. So far as can be ascertained there were no casualties, although foiyrteeu persons are reported to bo missing. The damage is estimatedto he in. tho vicinity of four million dollars (£Boo,ooo).—Reuter.
